Descriptions Scroll painting by the Japanese artist Kano Tsunenobu (1636-1713). A famed painter from the influential Kano School and a direct descendant of the Kobikicho branch that includes Kano Tanyu (uncle), Kano Eitoku (Tanyu's grandfather), Kano Motonobu (Eitoku's grandfather), and the founder of the school, Kano Masanobu (Motonobu's father). There is artist's signature and seal. Materials Ink on paper. Wood dowel. Dimensions 8.5" x 36" (painting size); 16" x 63.5" (scroll size). Descriptions Scroll painting by the Japanese artist Gyokujyu (early 19th century). He is a monk from the Bukkou Temple in Kyoto and active during the Tenpo period betweeen 1830-1844. There is artist's signature and seal as well as writings on the scroll and wood box. Materials Ink and color on silk. Wood dowel. Dimensions 15" x 34" (painting size); 23.5" x 70" (scroll size). Price $350	Descriptions Huge scroll painting by a Chinese artist (possibly c. 18th century). There is artist's signature and seal as well as several other seals and writing on the scroll. I am unable to read the artist's writing and history or the date of the painting. Materials Ink and color on paper. Wood dowel. Dimensions 35" x 66.5" (painting size); 46" x 104" (scroll size). Price $250	Descriptions Scroll painting by a Tibetan or Nepalese artist (2003) purchased in Nepal. There is artist's writing on the bottom of the painting but I am unable to read. Materials Ink and color on canvas. Silver dowel caps. Dimensions 15.25" x 21" (painting size); 32" x 40" (scroll size). Conditions The painting is fine without damage. Items Included Scroll. Descriptions Sword by a Japanes swordsmith (c. 1532). There is smith's signature reading 'KANEKADO' on the tang; it has 2 holes and is original. The smith was from Mino Province and active during the Tenbun period (1532-1555). There are fine carvings of Fudo-myo and dragon on both sides of the blade that were made during the Edo period; the koshirae and shirasaya are original. Materials Steel. Dimensions 21.65" (length of cutting edge); 0.67" (curvature); 1.19" (width of base); 0.24" (thickness of base); 0.83" (width of yokote). Conditions The blade is in good conditions with no visible flaws; there is a tiny tip off the kissaki but this doesnot affect the integrity of the blade and can be removed in the next polish. The koshirae is original and still in good conditions. Items Included Sword with original koshirae and shirasaya, 2 silk bags, purchase receipt and sword registration from antique dealer in Japan. Price $4100	Descriptions Sword by a Chinese swordsmith. I am unable to read the signature or date of the sword. There are stylized carvings of dragon and signature on both sides of the blade. The scabbard is copper molded with intricate dragons and patterns alongwith simulated gem stones on both sides. Materials Steel. Dimensions 26.5" (length of cutting edge); 1.25" (width of base). Conditions The blade is in good conditions but there are rust marks on the blade. The scabbard is original and still in exceptional conditions. Items Included Sword with original scabbard.
