Scroll painting by the Japanese artist Kano Tsunenobu (1636-1713). A famed painter from the influential Kano School and a direct descendant of the Kobikicho branch that includes Kano Tanyu (uncle), Kano Eitoku (Tanyu's grandfather), Kano Motonobu (Eitoku's grandfather), and the founder of the school, Kano Masanobu (Motonobu's father). There is artist's signature and seal.

Descriptions
Sword by a Japanes swordsmith (c. 1532). There is smith's signature reading 'KANEKADO' on the tang; it has 2 holes and is original. The smith was from Mino Province and active during the Tenbun period (1532-1555). There are fine carvings of Fudo-myo and dragon on both sides of the blade that were made during the Edo period; the koshirae and shirasaya are original.

21.65" (length of cutting edge); 0.67" (curvature); 1.19" (width of base); 0.24" (thickness of base); 0.83" (width of yokote).

Conditions

The blade is in good conditions with no visible flaws; there is a tiny tip off the kissaki but this doesnot affect the integrity of the blade and can be removed in the next polish. The koshirae is original and still in good conditions.

Sword by a Chinese swordsmith. I am unable to read the signature or date of the sword. There are stylized carvings of dragon and signature on both sides of the blade. The scabbard is copper molded with intricate dragons and patterns alongwith simulated gem stones on both sides.

Conditions

The blade is in good conditions but there are rust marks on the blade. The scabbard is original and still in exceptional conditions.
